Thanks Yolanda for the information. I never knew aloe vera plants were related to lilies and onions and considered a vegetable.
I have an aloe plant that is growing out of control and looked here for some info for planting. The drainage tips are very helpful.

What kind of soil do you use? I heard you say something about sand and rocks, so do we mix soil and sand together or what???

i think i over watered my aloe vera. its roots rotted and then the whole plant just fell apart! what do i do?

can i just bury the leaves in soil and it will grow again?

Question: I don’t have this plant, but my friend does and is willing to give me a cutting, but neither of us know where to cut. How can give me a part that I can replant in my house??? :O
