You guys do realize koi are completely harmless, right? It’d be like jumping into a pond full of goldfish. I don’t think they’d be able to so much as give you a hickey for your trouble.

Well, the bigger ones might be able to give you a hickey, but no more than that. Cypriniformes have their teeth located in pharyngeal jaws – in their throats, which is why you see koi and goldfish swallowing things whole, because they chew them after swallowing them. Neat, huh?
