Low Cost Video Movie Editing Tutorial Magix

25

How to make video movies with green screen and many video and audio effects cheaply. There are many cheap and even some free video editors that have more features than Windows Movie Maker. This ten minute tutorial shows some effects that are available with Magix Movie Edit Pro 2004, which is no longer available. There are newer versions of Magix video editors and other brands of video editors which have some of the same effects. If you are a beginner, this will tell you what to search for when you want features. There are some artifacts and glitches in the green screen scenes caused by the yellow shirt that has a tendency to have green shadows. I had to overcompensate to adjust the shirt green coloring and I had to opt between the shirt disappearing or the background having a lot of green smudge. In future vids I will use different colors and different lighting for the green screen shots. “green screen”

Featureman @ 12:28 pm #

Thanks. The first time I used a computer was in the late 1970s. I bought one in the 1980s but I did not get on the internet until the 1990s.

Featureman,
You are a hero! In fact, you put us young-’uns to shame! No fear of computers, plenty of funny stuff and informative. Many more happy’s, for you, I hope . I wonder if you’re planning any more Chickleberry Driveway Company stuff; that was inspired!

Featureman @ 8:59 am #

Thanks. Chickleberry memorial driveway was one of my favorites. I will think about redoing it or doing something similar.

You have not talked how to use chroma Key. You say you do it but how can u explain?

Featureman @ 11:38 am #

@bkansupada Each video program does it differently. In Magix I right click on the video track which has the video with the green area. I then select Green Box and I use the two sliders to the right (Threshhold and Fading) to tweak it until it looks its best. The video on the track above will show though the green chroma keyed area. Watch my tutorial #12. It shows the tracks. Thanks.

Video editing made easier, specially for young ones like me :D thanks this helped :D making a school project soon hope everything turns oout okay :D

Featureman @ 7:38 am #

@painne13 The video editing is much easier now. Even Windows Movie Maker and other free editors make OK movies with titles and transitions. I like doing green screen and cloning. There are some low cost editors which do those effects. Thanks.
