Turtle are very messy, I guess you know. Be sure to have lots of water, lots of bog for it to run through, then lots of gravel to run through after that.
YOur turtles will love it.

Do you think that idea works for a little trout stream?

Where are your return feed lines for the pump? self contained correct? also you might want alittle chlorine in the bottom pond! water stagnation will draw flies mosquitos, and other unwanted insects. But very nice feature, i have one but on a small scale, using a large tote, for the sub pump and a waterfall into a five gallon bucket, with a 1 inch return hose back to the tote, all hidden with rocks. but i want a stream to connect the two. would plastic sheeting work? or should i use a liner? thx

nah, I doubt it. Too warm where i come from.

Mine is just like yours but its all one long liner. Plastic doesn’t stand the test of time.

@kaoskrisb
Oh, man, i can’t recall what they call it…But it’s pond liner, a rubber product. should be able to find it at Lowes, Home Depot.

pondsandkoi @ 3:34 pm #

@dhighway59 This stream is all self contained in one large liner.
And no worries about the mosquitoes, they don’t lay eggs in moving water.

@pondsandkoi That sounds very rude…………

I wouldn’t fancy stumbling out of a party at your house one night, down the steps and head first in to the pond.

100 bucks, maybe? Just the cost of liner and a cheap pump.
