Get a cedar mulch because that will help to repel ants and as you put that mulch over your garden beds, which you should be doing anyhow to conserve water, that will help too. It will not kill the ants, it just sends them to your neighbor. Then there are some products you can use, none of them are perfect and none of them are perfect and none of them are permanent. You need boric acid and sugar, an old-fashioned home remedy. Do not forget though that boric acid actually is poison, it is toxic. Some people say you can use cornmeal, and the ants are supposed to eat the cornmeal and then swell up when they get some water and die. I tried that, it did not work for me, but there are other people who swear it works for them, so, hey cornmeal is cheap, give it a try. Then we can go to some of the things you can buy. One is, and combat puts it out, what we picked up here is the little bait traps but what I would want you to buy is the ant gel. It comes in a tube, it is a clear gel, and you put down about the end of your finger tip, just a little dab where the ants are and you will see the line-up like hungry soldiers all the way around, they
